Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River hosts career day for Memphis students

WHO: U.S. Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River

WHAT: Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River is scheduled to host a career day for members of Students of All Races interested in attending the Coast Guard Academy. Guests will be allowed aboard the sector to experience a slide show, receive a tour of local Coast Guard units and participate in panel meetings/Q&A with officers and former cadets. Admission is free.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River is hosting a career day to educate students on possible career opportunities available through the Coast Guard Academy, Saturday.

SOAR is a group designed to expose a diverse population of students and their families to the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Academy. This program is offered at various Coast Guard units throughout the nation to allow the public greater personal contact with academy admissions staff and graduates.
