UPDATE: Unified command holds news briefing on response to crude oil in lower Mississippi River

WHO: The unified command, which includes the U.S. Coast Guard, Louisiana Oil Spill Coordinator's Office and Settoon Towing.

WHAT: News briefing on oil spill in the Mississippi River near Reserve, La. 

WHEN: 3:30 p.m., Feb. 17, 2012.

WHERE: Bonnet Carre Spillway, East Bank, southside, Norco, La.

NEW ORLEANS — The unified command continues its response to the release of crude oil in the Mississippi River near Reserve in St. John's Parish, Friday.

A news briefing will be held to provide a situation overview and provide updates to the cleanup and recovery operations. A question and answer session will be held at the end.
