Coast Guard closes portion of the Illinois River |

ST. LOUIS - The Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP) for the Upper Mississippi River has reduced the river closure on the Illinois River Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 and has re-opened another portion. The last closure from mile marker 50 to 180.9 has been changed to mile marker 80.3 to 101.9. The additional closure between mile markers 136 to 138 has been reopened to all traffic. ### Saving Lives and Guarding the Coast Since 1790.
