The fishing vessel transferred the patient to a nearby oil platform where a helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans picked up the patient. The crew made an intermediate stop to refuel the MH-65C Dolphin helicopter before safely delivering the crewman to Houma Terrebonne Hospital.
