MEMPHIS, Tenn. — U.S. Coast Guard Capt. Michael Gardiner, commander of Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River presents Donald McCrory, a Memphis Area Maritime Security Committee Chairman, with the Coast Guard Public Service Commendation award, May 13, 2010.  The Maritime Security Committee is comprised of government, commercial, and industrial entities that make up the maritime community in the Memphis area.  The Coast Guard Public Service Commendation award is given in recognition of courage or initiative in advancing one or more Coast Guard missions, and also recognizes a beneficial contribution in one Coast Guard mission area or a limited geographical area.
