Coast Guard Cutter Stingray to hold change-of-command ceremony

                 Mobile, AL 36615

BACKGROUND: Lt. j.g. Molly E. Godden is scheduled to relieve Lt. Benjamin J. Krebs in a formal change-of-command ceremony. 

Lt. j.g. Godden arrives in Mobile from the Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk, homeported in Key West, Fla. Lt. Benjamin J. Krebs is scheduled to take command the Gulf Regional Fisheries Training Center in New Orleans.

Capt. Donald J. Rose, commanding officer of Coast Guard Sector Mobile, is scheduled to be the presiding official for the ceremony.

Coast Guard Cutter Stingray is the fifth 87-foot cutter built and was commissioned in 1999. The cutter is homeported in Mobile, and its area of responsibility is from Carrabelle, Fla., to Gulfport, Miss.  The mission of the cutter and crew of 12 include search and rescue, law enforcement and living marine resources.
