News Release
NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard rescued three men whose vessel capsized near Seabrook Marina in Lake Pontchartrain, La., Tuesday.
Rescued were: Daniel Baradell, Steve Snyder and David Snyder.
The crew of an MH-65C Dolphin helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, on their way to conduct training, spotted three men standing on a capsized vessel at approximately 9:30 a.m. The helicopter crew lowered a rescue swimmer to assist the men.
The helicopter crew hoisted two of the three men and transported them to the New Orleans Lakefront Airport, while the third man was picked up by Station New Orleans and taken to Seabrook Marina.
"We didn't expect to find anyone stranded out there," said Lt. j.g. Anthony Guido, a pilot from Air Station New Orleans. "But it always pays to be vigilant when you're on, around or even above the water."
The conditions of the rescued are unknown.
